[bass fields] from the now of time
a Just Intonation installation and documentation of sound portrait for 16 contra
basses and spectrograph
joshua carro

[bass fields] from the now of time is an audio visual representation of our perceived
processing of an organic progression of time. (both harmonically and spatially)
natural harmonic progression form.
I (A)
V/I (E+2)
III/V (G#-14/E+2)
VII/III (F#-31/G#-14)
IX/VII (G#-37/F#-31)
XI/IX (D+14/G#-37)
XIII/XI (G#-35/D+14)
XV/XIII (G+16/G#-35)
through visual analysis (spectral), it becomes evident that time is a detailed landscape
built of an infinite amount of slices/point moments that are assembled by the computer
(brain) to document and record (experience) the arrow/path of time, providing
evidence of the once existing past without a predictable future. thus providing a strong
suggestion that our conscious perception of these fields may be nothing more than
frames or slices interpreted as time by the brain.
